Hook
& Ayres Design
Our work is truly unique, each piece hand-made using a breakthrough process
that Gary discovered 18 years ago while trying to do something else entirely.
He knew he was on to something and has been refining it ever since. Gary and
Jennifer make all the work themselves, preferring to literally be "in
touch" with the work. Jennifer's designs are miniatures visual narratives.
Gary's designs are bold and geometric, composed using graphics software that
he created.
It was the enthusiasm of quilters we met at craft shows that first drew us
into the world of quilts. Jennifer has a strong love of textiles and it was
irrististable. While we do a few traditional quilt designs, we particularly
enjoy creating original work; we have also worked collaboratively with customers
who approach us with their own design ideas. In fact, quilters are among our
most wonderful customers, appreciating the exacting craftsmanship and designs
(and also being the nicest people!)
